New Testament Theology
Every Christian ought to have a working knowledge of Christian doctrine. There are not many books, however, which attempt to give the basic essentials in short compass, so that the reader may obtain a reasonably complete bird’s-eye view of the subject. The present course aims to do just that. It is intended to be the kind of simple, short, straightforward introduction to the subject which most young Christians find they need.
Although I have deliberately tried to be brief, I have at the same time attempted to cover all the main aspects of the Christian faith. Perhaps this method carries with it the danger that when a person has read this book he may think he knows it all. I hope that it will rather have the effect of encouraging readers to go further into the subject, perhaps by graduating to the fuller treatment by the late T. C. Hammond, In Understanding Be Men (now available in a revised edition by D. F. Wright).
